India is gearing up for a visit by the British royal couple Kate Middleton and Prince William. The Duchess of Cambridge will be visiting with her husband from 10th to 16th April. During the trip, the couple will be making several memorable stops.
The first will be at the iconic Taj Palace Hotel in Mumbai where a wreath will be laid at a memorial inside the hotel in memory of the 2008 terror attacks.

The couple will also attend a cricket match with children from local slum at the Oval Maidan. A star studded charity gala will also take place the same evening where the Royal couple will meet with Bollywood stars among other VIPs. Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are said to be on the guestlist for the fundraiser that will help support three charities: Childline, Magic Bus and Doorstep. Another high point during the couple’s visit will be a visit to the Taj Mahal on the last day of the trip.
Kate Middleton is well known for being a fashion icon and never fails to impress when on tour, as was seen in her outfit choices during the tours of Canada, New Zealand and Singapore.
All eyes are now on Kate’s choice of designer for her India tour. When the tour was announced last year, the Duchess stepped out wearing a stunning blue dress by London based Indian designer Saloni Lodha and it would not be surprising if Kate was seen in more outfits by the same designer while in India.

One question in many minds is which other Indian designer’s outfits will Kate be seen in. One designer whose outfits Kate may wear is Ritu Kumar, since Princess Diana had chosen to wear a Ritu Kumar outfit during her trip to Pakistan in 1997.
From visiting iconic sites, to extending their support to charity galas, to mingling with bollywood stars, this royal visit is going to be a memorable whirlwind for sure and one that is eagerly awaited by many Indians!
